The russet-tailed thrush, Zoothera heinei, is a species of bird in the family Turdidae that is closely related to the Bassian thrush. It is classified as a species of Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Habitat

This species inhabits temperate forests as well as subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. Its range covers eastern Australia, extending from east-central Queensland to southeast New South Wales, and includes Papua New Guinea and the Bismarck Archipelago.
