Zosterops auriventer, or Hume's white-eye, is a bird species belonging to the family Zosteropidae. It was formerly considered a subspecies of the Indian white-eye but was elevated to full species status in 2017 based on recent taxonomic studies.

Habitat

The species inhabits upland areas across Myanmar, southern Thailand, the Malay Peninsula, and Borneo. It is classified as Least Concern by the IUCN Red List.

Diet

This bird is omnivorous.

In 2017, it was promoted from subspecies status to full species rank after being previously treated as a subspecies of the Indian white-eye, while two of its current subspecies had previously been classified under Everett's white-eye.
