Before you write
The FAQ answers most of what arrives here: how accurate the identification is, what happens to your recordings, whether it works without a signal, and which file formats are supported. It is worth a minute before you type.
- If a bird was identified wrongly, tell us the species you expected and roughly where and when you recorded it. Location and time of year narrow the plausible list more than anything else.
- If a recording would not load, the file format and the device you recorded on are the two things we will ask for first.
- If something looked broken, what you did just before it happened is more useful than a description of the screen.
